Element Marks & Embedded Frames
Mark whole elements instead of drawing over them, and choose which zone to annotate on pages with embedded frames.
Element Mark
Element Mark annotates the page's building blocks instead of pixels. Activate the tool and move the cursor: the element under it — a button, an image, a card, a link, a paragraph — is outlined in blue. Click to wrap it with a solid border.
- The mark records what kind of element it is and its content, so it stays attached even when the page reflows.
- Hover the mark later to add a note, change its color, reply, or delete it. If the note popup is closed, a small bubble icon next to the mark reopens it — on desktop, hovering the icon shows a quick preview.
- Great for "this button is broken", "this price needs updating", or bookmarking a specific card in a long list.
Rectangle Frame
Rectangle Frame draws a dashed rectangle around any region you drag over — a "look here" box. It is anchored to the content under the box and keeps the surrounding text as context, which makes it easy to find again. Border thickness follows the line width; click the frame later to add a note, change its color, reply, or delete it.

Pages with embedded frames
Some pages embed other documents inside them (iframes) — news aggregators, dashboards, portals. Since each embedded area is its own document, Sagitnote asks which one you want to annotate:

Pick a zone
Each eligible area shows a "✎ Select this zone" pill. Click the pill on the area you want to annotate (usually the article body).

Annotate as usual
The chosen area activates and the control panel appears. All tools now work inside that zone.
The pill appears only when a page actually has multiple annotatable areas (each at least 500 × 200 px). Ordinary pages — including most articles — activate automatically without asking.
